A Postdoctoral fellow at the University of Bergen, Norway. In 2018, He obtained his Ph.D. from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). He was awarded the university research award 5 times as well as outstanding publication award during his PhD. His research interest falls under natural-language processing, semantic and knowledge graphs, text and Web mining, and sentiment analysis. He is a member of the I2S group at UiB and works for the NewsAngler project. He has joined many conferences as program committee member and track chair (RCIS2020, ICACIn’20,ICOICE 2019).

Raphaël Troncy is an Associate Professor at the Data Science Department of EURECOM, France since 2009, leading the Data 2 Knowledge team. He obtained with honors a PhD from the University of Grenoble Alpes (France) together with the National Audio-Visual Institute (INA) in Paris and Inria Rhône Alpes in 2004. He was awarded ERCIM Post-Doctorate Research Associate in the National Research Council (CNR) in Pisa (Italy) in 2005, and in the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI) in Amsterdam (Netherlands) in 2006. His main research interest concerns the use of semantic web technologies for data integration and semantic multimedia annotations, information extraction and recommender systems. He is involved in a number of news related research projects such as ASRAEL (https://asrael.limsi.fr/) that aims to infer schemas for representing news events. He has (co)organised more than 20 workshops in topics relevant to this proposal usually held at ISWC, ESWC and TheWebConf.

His main research areas include Knowledge-based NLP Systems, Explainable AI, Natural Language Inference, Neuro-Symbolic Representations, Open Information Extraction, Knowledge Graphs and Question Answering.

A tenure-track researcher in the Human-Centered Data Analytics group at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. His research interests are centred around the challenge of assessing the quality of online information, ranging from the assessment of credibility and veracity of information to the analysis of its trustworthiness and provenance. He serves the Credible Web W3C community group and is a member of the Credibility Coalition. He was a postdoc in the Amsterdam Data Science QuPiD2 project working on information quality assessment in the digital humanities field. He obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam in 2014 in the intersection between trust management and semantic web.

An Assistant Professor at the University of Beira Interior (UBI). He obtained his Ph.D. from The National University of Malaysia (UKM). He is a member of the Human Language Technology and Bioinformatics (HULTIG-C) group and works for the Cloud Computing Competence Centre project at UBI. His research interests span several areas of Natural Language Processing and machine learning: Arabic Data Analytics, Linguistic Annotation, Social Media Analysis, Lexical-Semantics, and Computational Morphology. He participated in multiple large scale human language technology projects such as Cloud Platform for Computational Linguistics Services and Monitoring Virtual Crowds in Smart Cities (MOVES). He co-organized several international conferences and workshops.
